Ki’s

U.S. Arrow

This month’s AORN Fox Valley Chapter meeting is an opportunity to see how surgical instruments are repaired and sharpened, how scopes are fixed, and how gold plating/colors are coated on the instruments — along with other great learning experiences! The folks at Arrow Instrument Repair factory are staying late especially for our group! Although there are no contact hours, there is a free dinner, courtesy of John Fugate from Arrow.

If you’d like to brush up on your Arrow Medical Supply history to ask some good questions at the meeting, you can visit their website here: www.arrowmedical.com. Heck, if you want to brush up on your Ki’s restaurant history, here is a website with a little bit of information (not a lot) about the restaurant we’ll be visiting.

Note: If you would like to carpool, you must RSVP the webmaster at webmaster@aornfoxvalley.org by November 11 with a brief message saying you will be attending the November 19 meeting and typing your name at the bottom. We need to know the approximate amount of people carpooling since Ki’s seating is limited to 25-30 people. If, however, you decide to drive yourself instead of carpooling, you’ll have to show up at the dinner and meeting at 7:30 at Ki’s restaurant, and forgo the factory tour (something you probably don’t want to do). Directions and phone numbers are available for all locations.

If you have any questions, please call our President-Elect, Kelly Hofmann at (630) 933-5482 or John Fugate’s cellular phone at (708) 308-2341.

Here are some quick directions to the factory:

  1. North Ave. (east) to Rt. 83
  2. Rt. 83 (north) to Foster Ave.
  3. Foster Ave. (right) to Country Club Dr.
  4. Country Club Dr. (right)
  5. Road curves left and becomes Eagle Dr.
  6. Eagle Dr. to U S Arrow factory
